GHOST 3D Releases Scribe-iT CAD

February 18, 2005 -- GHOST 3D, LLC announces the release of “Scribe-iT CAD”, a new software product (along with integrated hardware systems) for its Scribe-iT line of 3D digitizing, modeling and CMM productivity solutions. Scribe-iT CAD adds Design and Measurement tools to its sister products (Scribe-iT DCC and Power Digitizer Pack) through a variety of new features intended to better address the needs of product designers, engineers, fabricators, and visualization professionals.

The new Scribe-iT CAD package provides a robust and totally immersive integration between the physical and virtual working environments. Highlighted features include creative capturing of simple and 3D design elements, interactive creation and editing using the device probe, as well as accurate visual measurements, data manager and report tools. The new feature set also contains productivity helpers to better assist designers, engineers and inventors. Akin to its product family Scribe-iT CAD offers 6 to 7 degrees of freedom in 3-Dimensional interaction with CAD, Measurement, Digital Content Creation (DCC), Editing, Navigation, Manipulation, and Animation tools. Scribe-iT CAD maximizes the interactive use of the supported FaroArm and Microscribe CMM digitizers within the 3D scene. Complex objects and forms are captured quickly in a simple workflow using geometry, elements and datasets that can be edited with the device or modified, transformed, easily converted and re-aligned to new prototypes, flexibly re-purposed, rendered, printed, converted and exported in several formats.

GHOST 3D offers Scribe-iT CAD in a variety of completely integrated G3D Systems combined with several top quality CMM devices at special value. Complete support and technical assistance is available. Scribe-iT CAD can also be licensed independently for owners of the supported device products.
