The new MicroScribe 3D Laser systems offer a significant price-performance breakthrough in 3D laser scanning solutions, and can digitize up to 28,000 points per second in real-time from within the integrated software. A MicroScribe 3D Laser system offers an exceptional high-speed and high-accuracy solution for 3D surface data acquisition. It can be used to quickly capture and digitize complex surfaces for immediate use in 3D Design, Games, Manufacturing and Fabrication, Engineering, Forensics, Special Effects, and Visualization. The integrated software processes, optimizes, aligns and merges points and polygons, and it also supports export to formats accepted by industry standard CAD applications. Combined with certain inspection and post-processing programs, the laser system enables a complete reverse-engineering and inspection solution useful for measuring, redesign, comparison and other QC and manufacturing applications. The laser (RSI) provides a point density of up to 0.0039-inch (0.1 mm). The MicroScribe digitizing arms can also continue to be used as a manual CMM and point digitizer.
