GHOST 3D Announces Scribe-iT CAD – New Product Solution for Scribe-iT Family

December 22, 2004 -- GHOST 3D, LLC announces "Scribe-iT CAD", a new product solution for its Scribe-iT line of 3D digitizing, modeling and CMM productivity tools. Scribe-iT CAD adds Design and Measurement tools to its sister products (Scribe-iT DCC and Power Digitizer Pack) through a variety of new features intended to better address the needs of product designers, engineers, fabricators, and visualization professionals. Scribe-iT CAD is also intended to support additional platforms. Licensing, availability and additional support will be announced in January 2005.

Scribe-iT CAD includes design, creation, editing, measurement and reports tools. The new feature set also contains productivity helpers to better assist designers and engineers. A value upgrade path will be available to all Scribe-iT DCC and Power Digitizer Pack customers. Collectively, the Scribe-iT product family offers 6 to 7 degrees of freedom in 3D interactivity with CAD, Measurement, Digital Content Creation (DCC), Editing, Navigation, Manipulation, and Animation tools in the supported host applications. Scribe-iT provides unique and dedicated interactive use of the supported CMMs and digitizers (such as FaroArm and Microscribe) within the 3D scene.
